About Great Gardening

Growing Together

Great Gardening delights in the unique joys and challenges of gardening in Zones 3 and 4. The show celebrates successes and shares expert knowledge, connecting the Northland’s vibrant gardening community. Whether you’re a beginner or have an experienced green thumb, Great Gardening connects the growing community with climate-specific growing advice.

It's a New Growing Season!

To continue to share gardening expertise in real-time throughout the entire growing season, in 2021 Great Gardening will be extending its season and its reach to become an even more useful tool for the Northland gardener!

On Air
The new season will include a Spring, Summer, and Fall Special (at 7pm), as well as four episodes on PBS North in April at 7:30pm. We’ll also be adding two full episodes in the fall on PBS North. During our regular season episodes, enjoy a NEW Farm to Table segment, as we follow veggies from the garden into new recipes!

Send us your questions before the program and we may answer them live on air! Email ask [at] wdse [dot] org.

Online
Throughout the summer look for episodes on our NEW YouTube channel, addressing the unique opportunities and challenges posed by this year’s growing season. Subscribe to the YouTube channel to enjoy regular updates throughout the summer of Great Gardening!

When in season, new episodes are available on-air on PBS North and online the following day on YouTube, PBS.org and streaming on your mobile device on the free PBS Video App.
