Video Summary

This week on Almanac North, we visit with officials with the Lighthouse Center for Vision Loss about their 100 years of service to the low and no vision community; and we have a video report on the launch of the Navy's newest vessel, the future USS Minneapolis-St. Paul.

The LightHouse Center for Vision Loss is celebrating its Centennial. We talk with Mary Junnila, Executive Director; Laura Lussier, Occupational Therapist; and history major Tucker Nelson about the center's mission and century of history.

The future USS Minneapolis St. Paul was christened over the weekend at a shipyard in Marinette Wisconsin. Navy Deputy Undersecretary and Minnesota native Jodi Greene is the ship sponsor. Watch the ship launch and here from the Navy on the versatile vessel.
