WDSE WRPT's Making It Up North has been nominated for an Emmy!

Making It Episode 104: Learning the Craft is nominated for program excellence by the Upper Midwest Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences. The production team includes Director Steve Ash, Photographer Tomas Soderberg and Producer Karen Sunderman.

The episode explores the skills needed to be successful in a chosen field. Featured guests include Josh Rude, a self-taught paddlemaker and founder of Glorud Design, Birchbark Beth Homa Kraus, a basketweaver expanding traditional boundaries at the North House Folk School in Grand Marais, Andy and Tasha Klockow, the duo behind the first craft beer venture in Grand Rapids, and Head Chef Jillian Forte of At Sara’s Table/Chester Creek Café.
