The Best of 50s Pop
The 1950s could be considered the last days of innocence. While Elvis gyrated to "Jailhouse Rock," Pat Boone mused about "Love Letters In The Sand." Pop music, short for "popular," was just that: music enjoyed by mom, dad and kids alike. The PBS concert special The Magic Moments: The Best Of '50s Pop, taped at the Trump Taj Majal in Atlantic city on April 21, 2004, celebrates that era with many stars of the '50s singing their biggest hits.
