Video Summary

Playwright Caity Shea Violette honed the script for her debut theater production in class at the University of Minnesota Duluth. The play, Target Behavior, is in rehearsal, and will enjoy its world premiere at UMD's Dudley Experimental Theater Dec. 1. Ms. Violette will be in the WDSE studio to talk about the journey from page to stage. We'll also share behind the scenes perspective with cast and award-winning director Tom Isbell. Target Behavior runs through December 10th.

Versatile is the word! From acoustic, to pounding, alternative folk rock, Phil Jents and the Farsights bring a new groove to The PlayList. As a solo performer Mr. Jents enjoys music that's sparse, stripped down, and intimate. His work with the Farsights shifts his storytelling into high gear.

She's an award-winning author of children's novels and picture books from Ranier, MN. Step into the studio with Mary Casanova and discover how she approaches her work. Her resume include several American Girl books written to accompany the famous dolls. Casanova's disciplined writing process and inspiring lectures encourage others to find their voice.

Get to know the Northwoods Friends of the Arts. It's an art group in northeast Minnesota dedicated to promoting the arts in general, and to reaching the general public. The group has been stirring things up in Cook, MN and beyond since 2010.
