Duluth artist Pat Hagen showcases her dual loves: water and art, in a solo show at the Great Lakes Aquarium. Mosaic, watercolor and pastels expose the relationship between artist and the region's defining element --water.
Engaging public art in a very public location, "Winds and Currents" by Joan Henrik puts the viewer directly into her work. Henrik's terrazzo floor design is featured in the newly expanded Duluth Entertainment & Convention Center. Selected by the Duluth Public Arts Commission and honored nationally for outstanding design, the floor is part of a vibrant body of work. A student of both Duluth Central High School and The University of Minnesota-Duluth, she has garnered more than 125 local and national design awards.
Influenced by the great blues performer Freddie King, The Virgil Caine Band features Mark Hawley (Lead Vocals), Tom Wotruba (Lead Guitar), Keith Fredrickson (Drums), and David Prudhomme (Bass). The Duluth band brings their LIVE, rockin' blues to the The PlayList studio!
