This spring the Duluth Playhouse took a dark, 1935 Alfred Hitchcock classic, The 39 Steps, and twisted it into an absurd, wacky, and over the top performance. The hilarity came from four talented actors playing more than 150 crazy characters. Meanwhile, The Renegade Theater Company asked the question, "how much is pretty worth?" In Reasons to Be Pretty, this comedic drama portrayed America's obsession with physical beauty.
Duluth brims with incredible artistic talent. Now local teens have an option to hone their musical talents. The Music Resource Center will be a state-of-the-art facility where teens can learn the latest technology in the music industry and participate in every phase of music production. The new Duluth program offers after school and summer classes at the Sacred Heart Music Center, and are hoping for a permanent facility in the Historic Duluth Armory after its renovation in 2012.
