Dave Lynas, ceramics instructor and studio manager at the Duluth Art Institute, illustrates the scenic landscapes and beautiful structures that he finds in our northern landscape on his bisque fired pots. The great detail in his pottery gives a unique identity to each piece. He has made over 1,000 distinctive bowls to contribute to the Duluth's Empty Bowl project.
Nine local artists take "Creative Control" in a new art exhibit in Duluth. The group features strong, eclectic voices of some of the brightest artists in town. The show opens on April 22nd at The Venue at Mohaupt Block on West Superior Street and will run through May 16th.
Mark Anderson Trio offers a wide variety of jazz music that is sure to make you get up and groove. The local band is led by guitarist Mark Anderson, and complemented by drummer Marvin Pomeroy, and bassist John Thorene. In addition to writing and performing their own music they?re also known for rearranging well-known classic rock and pop songs and to fit their jazzy style.
