This month, turn on PBS for sizzling performances and assorted arts Thursday and Friday nights on PBS 2nd Chance. Great Performances at the Met sweeps July with a full line up of dazzling productions and the PBS Arts Summer Festival follows art around the world.

Thursday nights at 7:30pm on 2ndChance
"Rodelinda" - Sensational in the 2004 Met premiere of Stephen Wadsworth's much-heralded production, Renee Fleming reprises the title role.
"Faust" - With Jonas Kaufmann in the title role, Rene Pape as the devil and Marina Poplavskaya as Marguerite, Gounod's classic retelling of the Faust legend couldn't be better.
"The Enchanted Island" - This new work combines great singers and glorious Baroque music when lovers from A Midsummer Night's Dream are shipwrecked on the other-worldly island of The Tempest.
"Ernani" - Angela Meade takes center stage in Verdi's thrilling early gem. Marcello Giordani is her mismatched lover, and all-stars Dmitri Hvorostovsky and Ferruccio Furlanetto round out the cast.

"Islamic Art: Mirror of the Invisible World" - Travel through nine countries and 1400 years of cultural history to explore the artistic and architectural riches of Islam.
"John Leguizamo's Tales from a Ghetto Klown" - From his Colombian and “NuyoRican” roots to his high-profile career in Hollywood, Leguizamo bares his soul.
"Homecoming: The Kansas City Symphony Presents Joyce DiDanato" - After a triumphant appearance with Plácido Domingo at the Met Opera in New York, the mezzo-soprano returns to her hometown to perform.
"Havana, Havana!" - This musical documentary vibrates with the soul and energy of African-Cuban musicians who left Cuba years ago. Their decision to return has injected a new spirit into Cuban music.
