DSSO Live “Delicious Melodies”

Saturday, April 28 at 8pm on PBS North

Korsantia’s performance features Rachmaninoff's Piano Concertos, particularly No. 2 and 3; and consistently brings audiences to their feet with soaring melodies. Next, Debussy's dreamy depiction of light includes a wordless chorus; and Finlandia brings a triumphant ending.

Markand Thakar has developed a reputation for orchestra building and innovative programming; and is now in his tenth season as conductor of the DSSO. In addition to his busy schedule, Thakar also writes “Maestro Musings,” a monthly column for the Duluth Superior Magazine.

In cooperation with the DSSO, WDSE•WRPT has had the privilege of broadcasting selected live symphony broadcasts, each year, to our local viewers since 1984. For ticket information on Saturday night’s performance, call (218) 623-3776 or get more information online.
