Dan Corbett has been the Director of Lifelong Learning at PBS eight since 1997 and is responsible for the educational and community outreach services developed and/or implemented by the station in support of its mission. He is a Minnesota-licensed teacher, principal, and superintendent, with extensive experience in curriculum development, grant writing, forming project partnerships, project implementation, and serving as the facilitator/emcee at public events.


Outreach activities include the annual Reading Rainbow contest; the high school essay, art, and photography contests with a formal art exhibit at the University of Wisconsin Superior; the By the People community dialogue on education in the Northland; the ongoing "Eracism" project on issues of race and respect; and town meetings on addiction, education, welfare, the War in Iraq.

Terry Gilbertson has been the Ready to Lead in Literacy Coordinator at PBS eight since 1997 and is responsible for the station's implementation of the national Ready to Lead in Literacy (RTLL) grant from the Corporation for Public Broadcasting. She is a Minnesota-licensed early-childhood special education and parent educator, with extensive experience in workshop formation and delivery, forming partnerships to support grant activities, and group presentations.


Outreach activities include the partnerships and workshops formed as part of the RTLL grant, completion of grant reports, development of a fall reunion and a spring conference of RTLL workshop participants, and coordination of the annual Arthur Read-a-Thon.
