Dan Corbett has been the Director of Lifelong
Learning at PBS eight since 1997 and is responsible for the
educational and community outreach services developed and/or
implemented by the station in support of its mission. He is
a Minnesota-licensed teacher, principal, and superintendent,
with extensive experience in curriculum development, grant
writing, forming project partnerships, project
implementation, and serving as the facilitator/emcee at
public events.
Outreach activities include the annual
PBS KIDS
GO! Writers Contest ; the high school essay, art, and photography
contests with a formal art exhibit at the University of
Wisconsin Superior; the By the People community dialogue on
education in the Northland; the ongoing "Eracism" project on
issues of race and respect; and town meetings on addiction,
education, welfare, the War in Iraq. |
